The Coastal Association Of REALTORS^® held a CreditSmart^® Workshop at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on April 29th, May 6th and May 7th. A variety of students and faculty attended the CreditSmart^® Workshops.

The CreditSmart^® Workshops are an outreach program being sponsored by CAR. The workshops are being provided FREE of charge to community groups in Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset County. The instructional program for the CreditSmart^® Workshops was developed by Freddie Mac to teach financial literacy to community groups. The sessions provide information on goal setting, budgeting, managing credit, credit scoring and restoring credit. Information is also provided on local, state, and federal loan programs. The Maryland Association of REALTORS^® has provided "Workforce Housing Certification Classes" to CAR in order to train the instructors for the Workshop.
